About Us

Bixby Robotics (Team 2424), also known as the Robot Mafia, is a FIRST Robotics team, located in Bixby, OK. In 2008 the team was formed by students and Derek Beller, the original mentor. The team barely met the entry fee for their first competition, the Oklahoma City Regional, but came back to win the Engineering Inspiration Award and secure a spot in the 2008 World Championships in Atlanta, GA. Since their rookie year, Bixby Robotics has undergone many changes in leadership, sponsorship, and experience as they become a seasoned team. All members have found their own way to assist the team. The members make a diverse team, with each person having a unique set of skills. New members are welcomed to join in this incredible educational experience. The team always looks forward to the next competition.
